Easter Celebrations: FG Declares April 18 and 21 Public Holidays




The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate Good Friday and Easter Monday. Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the holidays, extending heartfelt congratulations to Christians nationwide.

- *Public Holidays*: April 18 (Good Friday) and April 21 (Easter Monday) have been declared public holidays.

- *Reflection and Celebration*: Dr. Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of reflecting on the values of sacrifice, love, and redemption demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

- *National Unity*: The Minister urged Nigerians to use the holiday period to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country.


Dr. Tunji-Ojo reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at fostering national growth and development. He encouraged Nigerians to extend love and goodwill to their neighbors through acts of kindness and generosity.³
