POLICE IG EGBETOKUN SETS NEW RANK LIMIT FOR GOVERNOR'S AIDES-DE-CAMP

In a move aimed at promoting professionalism and streamlining the Nigeria Police Force, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has issued a directive limiting the rank of Aides-De-Camp (ADCs) to governors to not exceed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

This directive is part of the ongoing efforts to reposition the police force and ensure that personnel are utilized optimally. By setting a rank limit for ADCs, the IGP aims to prevent unnecessary proliferation of senior officers in governor's convoys and promote a more merit-based system.

The new directive is expected to take effect immediately, and governors are advised to comply with the new rank limit for their ADCs.
This move is seen as a positive step towards reforming the police force and promoting accountability and transparency in governance.
