In a ceremony held at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Adegoke Fayoade, decorated newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) on March 10, 2025. The event was attended by senior police officers, families of the promoted officers, and well-wishers.


AIG Fayoade took the opportunity to express his appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) for approving the promotion of the new ACPs. In his charge, he emphasized the importance of professionalism and adherence to the rule of law in their dealings with the public.¹


The newly promoted officers pledged to live up to expectations and be more responsible in their respective duty posts. They also expressed gratitude to the IGP for finding them deserving of the promotion.
