*OGUN POLICE NAB ALLEGED NOTORIOUS SERIAL RAPIST, MURDERER, KIDNAPPER, AND CULT LEADER IN MAJOR STING OPERATION*

In a significant breakthrough, 

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended one AbdulAzeez Ibrahim, an alleged serial rapist, Murderer, kidnapper, and high-ranking member of the Neo-Black Axe Movement commonly known as the Aye Confraternity. 


The arrest took place in the "Imaweje" community of Ijebu-Ode during the early hours of Sunday.


Ibrahim, who identified himself as a final-year student at Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijagun, Ijebu Ode is believed to be the second-in-command and a key figure, known as the “Butcher,” in the notorious confraternity. 


His arrest comes after being wanted in connection with a kidnapping case and being linked to a series of rapes and murders. 


Upon this infomation, The Commissioner of Police, Ogun state Command CP ABIODUN ALAMUTU has mandated the New Officer-in-charge Special Weapon And Tactics (SWAT) SP MURPHY SALAMI to launch a high degree of professional manhunt on these suspected criminals, Subsequent upon this the suspect's hideout was raided by the said SWAT team  leading to the recovery of cache of weapons, arms and ammunitions, local fetish charms, and other incriminating materials.


The seized items included a serviceable English Beretta pistol fully loaded with four rounds of live ammunition, An English revolver pistol loaded with 2 rounds of live ammunitions, a Pump-action Rifle-Josef with 10 rounds of live cartridges, an English long double-barrel rifle, two locally made short single-barrel rifles, one locally made short single barrel with two rounds of live ammunition, and various charms of body armor, An Axe of Aye confraternity weapon.


Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, revealed that the arrest was the result of meticulous intelligence work.

The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has reaffirmed the commitment to eliminate criminal elements, particularly those involved in kidnapping, armed robbery, rape, and cultism. 

Ogun State has witnessed a surge in cult-related activities and violent incidents in recent times, prompting law enforcement to intensify efforts to curb the rise of criminality in the region.


The recent arrest adds to the ongoing operations aimed at dismantling cult groups and criminal syndicates operating within the state. 


The police will continue to carry out sting operations and crackdowns on criminals in the state to maintain law and order, with a focus on protecting communities from the menace of criminal elements.
